LED architectural luminaires from Aglo Systems were installed at the entrance of the new Crown Perth development to make a grand entry statement.

Having worked with Crown Melbourne for over five years, Aglo was commissioned to engineer and manufacture the Porte Cochere LED architectural light fittings and several other custom-built pieces for Crown Perth. Aglo worked alongside Bates Smart and Electrolight to deliver the project.

The Porte Cochere LED architectural luminaires installed at Crown Perth consist of a series of large, overlapping pendants ranging in size and shape from 3.5×3.5m up to 2.5×5.5m. Each pendant required even illumination of opal white diffusers on the inner and outer faces of the pendant, with a polished mirror rose gold finish to the top and bottom.

Since the installation was in an outdoor environment, Aglo had to ensure all the materials and components used to create the LED luminaires were weather proof. Featuring stainless steel, acrylic and IP67 LED strips, the luminaires achieved a high-quality finish. Aluminium was also used to reduce weight to meet the load ratings of the ceiling structure and simplify the installation process.
