Fixed and operable louvres from the Opal and Hampton series by Acculine Architectural Systems were installed at the Baker Motors dealership in Albury, NSW to provide shade and ventilation.

Designed by Robert Simmons Architect with Joss Construction serving as the builder on the project, the award-winning building features extensive glazing to allow for uninterrupted views into and between showrooms.

Acculine supplied and installed the back-of-house fixed Opal louvres, providing shade protection over the north facing windows to combat the Albury summer heat and glare. Operable louvres from the Hampton 100 series were also installed along the ridged roofline of the workshops in the Service Department of the dealership, allowing built-up heat and car fumes to be purged at the flick of a switch.

Joss Construction won the 2013 MBA Vic Excellence in Construction Award for Commercial Buildings $3M – 6M for their work on this project.
