Australia is getting older and we’re living longer, there’s no two ways about it.

For the design professional, the implications of an ageing population and improved healing technologies have been profound and they’ve seen significant changes in the way we value the outcome of a project.

In the aged care sector, facilities are changing to meet the needs of a new generation of tech-savvy retirees who are ageing in place, while in healthcare, designs are continually evolving to match the sophistication of better healing equipment and to incorporate new research involving alternative healing strategies.

These fundamental changes in health and aged care design will be the focus of new event Architecture & Design is hosting in Sydney on 18 August called Care Connect - Designing a healthy future for all Australians.

The exclusive invitation-only program will gather Australia’s very-best aged and healthcare architects, building designers, developers and project managers under one roof.

The aim is to discover and share the current trends and opportunities for all parties involved in Australia’s aged and healthcare building sector.
