TheNSW Architects Registration Board has awarded its 2012 Architect's Medallion to University of Technology Sydney graduate, Kimberley Merlino.

Merlino is a graduate of the Master of Architecture course and has achieved distinction throughout her final two years of the course. 

She was nominated as the UTS representative and was selected by the board's committee.

The Architects Medallion has been awarded since 1924 and since 1952 it has been awarded annually to a graduate of the Bachelor of Architecture course from an approved school in New South Wales who has achieved distinction, both in a particular subject area at final level. 

Merlino took home a certificate, medallion and a $5000 prize.
