The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA) has announced the winners of the 2017 UDIA National Awards for Excellence.

Celebrating Australia's contemporary knowledge, skills and innovation in the urban development industry, the awards recognise achievements of high quality developments.

Developments were awarded under nine categories which comprise Masterplanned Development, Residential Development, Medium Density Housing, High Density Housing, Urban Renewal, Environmental Excellence, Affordable Development, Senior Living and President's Award.

Among the winners were Rothelowman, who took home three awards – two for their Botanica Residences in Queensland, and another for The Barkly, their project in Victoria. Other winners included Oxigen’s Tonsley project in South Australia and Eugene Marchese’s Mark Moran Vaucluse project in New South Wales.

The award winners were announced at a ceremony held in Perth on 6 April.
