The National Association of Building Designers has confirmed that Tamica Lewis and Sam Payne will take over as the new President and Vice President respectively.

The building designer member associations of Victoria (BDAV), Queensland (BDAQ), South Australia (BDASA), Western Australia (BDAWA) and the Northern Territory (BDANT) together form the National Association of Building Designers (NABD), which has become a peak representative body for the building design profession in Australia.

NABD follows a leadership succession plan whereby the Presidency and Vice Presidency rotate to the next representative in a predetermined sequence every two years. The NABD is pleased to confirm that the new President and Vice President Representatives are Tamica Lewis (BDAQ) and Sam Payne (BDAWA).

The first female President of the National Association of Building Designers, Tamica Lewis said she was quite honoured and humbled to be elected to the top position. NABD will continue to strive to tackle national issues, foster the continuation of professional development, nationally promote the profession of building design, and collaborate with government and industry.

The National Association of Building Designers is also currently finalising a National Design Awards presentation night to acknowledge and honour the expertise, creativity and excellence of building designers nationwide. The design awards presentation will be held at the Sheraton Melbourne Hotel on Saturday the 17th of October 2015.
