Quicksmart Homes, an Australian company offering multi-storey modular accommodation, is currently in the process of completing its first Hybrid house development project in Berry, New South Wales.

Eighty per cent of the construction is now underway, with each Hybrid house architecturally-designed off-site in a factory with minimal use of concrete, double glazing throughout, and electric car charging stations in the garages.

The six homes will be erected within a period to two weeks, and the total build process is expected to be completed in less than three months.

“These homes offer all the benefits of off-site construction such as factory quality control, higher specification but with the design flexibility of traditional building,” says Rufus Harding, managing director of Quicksmart Homes.

“They arrive complete and are ready to plug and play with no extras – everything is to the highest standard – as standard.”

Each Hybrid house comes fully fitted with interior designed kitchens and bathrooms, and top quality fixtures and fittings. The wall panels include fully furnished windows and doors ready for painting while the floor structure is constructed using high-strength steel cassettes, produced alongside the modules in the same factory.

Specifications include:

  • Kitchen - stone benchtop; top specification joinery; polished plywood shelves; omega appliances: oven, electric cooktop, ducted range hood;
  • Bathrooms - floor-to-ceiling ceramic tiles; stone bench top; white 2-pack joinery; wall-faced pan with concealed cistern; stainless steel fittings; concealed lighting in joinery; exhaust fan.
