The GPT Group has launched a photographic competition celebrating one of Brisbane’s icons and the design inspiration behind its One One One Eagle Street tower.
The developer is calling all budding photographers to be inspired by the Moreton Bay Fig tree and enter its FIGuration photography competition for a chance to win $5,000.
The competition will run until Friday, 12 Novemberand is designed to capture the essence of the majestic Moreton Bay Fig tree as envisaged through the design of GPT’s latest development.
One One One Eagle Street is a 54 storey, $600 million office tower, inspired by the Moreton Bay Fig tree, which is iconic to the Brisbane landscape.
The building received a 6-star Green Star Design rating from the Green Building Council of Australia,
through sustainable design focused on tenant amenity, indoor environment quality and energy efficiency.
The steel encased concrete branches of the building that envelope the structure were inspired by the growing canopy of the Moreton Bay Fig tree.
One One One Eagle Street will be one of Brisbane’s largest commercial office towers, and is scheduled for completion in 2011.
