Hayball has opened a new office in Brisbane which will be led by Studio Director David Jessup and will be targeting the multi-residential market.

Working across residential, education, mixed-use, commercial, interior and sustainability disciplines, Hayball is headquartered in Melbourne and has an established office in Sydney. The Brisbane office is Hayball’s third practice and will be led by Jessup, previously a senior associate with the practice in Melbourne.

Jessup has experience in Australia, Malaysia and China, across multi and single residential, student housing, education, commercial, and hotel and convention centre design and master planning. His flagship projects include Brisbane’s RNA Showgrounds Redevelopment, The Merchant in Melbourne’s Docklands, and the award-winning John Street apartments in Box Hill.

According to Jessup, Hayball’s expansion into Brisbane has been driven by local and international demand for apartment developments in the Queensland capital. Hayball is currently delivering a number of residential projects across Brisbane, such as Chester & Ella in Newstead, and are tipping tremendous growth in the coming years.

Managing Director Tom Jordan said the company’s national expansion will be supported by Hayball’s experience in the design of inner-city apartments and urban renewal projects across Australia.
