The Triplets is a new nature precinct designed by ASPECT Studios in the heart of Brisbane CBD for their client QIC. This public space will connect three high-rise buildings bounded by Mary, Charlotte and George Streets, providing an outdoor green space for workers within these buildings. Bureau Proberts and Architectus are the two architecture firms heading the project collaboration.

ASPECT Studios believes that a diversity of uses and activities are key to the continuing success of the space. In response, the design will combine a spatial layout and a program of events to achieve a space with multiple purposes and functions.

As part of the design process, ASPECT analysed behavioural patterns within public spaces. Based on their findings, The Triplets will incorporate landscape areas into both the interior and exterior spaces to create a seamless flow between inside and outside.

ASPECT has previously designed public spaces with QIC on Grand Central Toowoomba, Robina Town Centre and One William St for the QLD State Government. They have stated that they believe The Triplets will provide an ideal opportunity to innovate urban realm design solutions in a multipurpose destination for city workers.
