The WA office of Designinc (trading as Designinc Perth) has left the group and rebranded as DAPM Architects.

DAPM will be headed by former Designinc Perth Managing Director Ron Jee.

According to Jee’s Linkedin account, DAPM will continue to work on the Double Tree Hilton Waterfront at Barrack Square project, currently under construction.

Despite the split, Designinc says it wishes to maintain its presence in the West Australian market and will assess new opportunities in Perth.

National chairman of Designinc, Ian Armstrong said the directors of the Perth office had decided to pursue additional market segments which includes a focus on sectors including aged care, hospitality and modular design, things that aren’t a core part of the Designinc offering.

Armstrong notes that the firm has been growing in Sydney and Adelaide in key portfolios such as health, community, education, transport and defence, and will continue to work on several key projects in WA.

The Group will shortly reveal details of their new WA operation.

Armstrong added that the Perth office, similar to other DesignInc firms throughout Australia, has maintained a strong brand with an excellent reputation for quality architectural services to government and private sector clients. He also wished Jee and the team well in their new endeavours.
