Sustainable building consultancy company, Australian Living has partnered with Diversified Exhibitions to create a new and interactive showcase of sustainable products and solutions onsite at DesignBUILD 2013.

DesignBUILD 2013 is being held in Sydney 8-10 May and Australian Living is approaching manufacturers and suppliers, on an invite only basis, to be a part of ‘Future Living by Cameron Rosen’. The selected company must qualify for inclusion in the 'exclusive area'.

The concept behind the area in the exhibition is to showcase high performing, quality products and materials in one area so that architects, building designers, project home developers and builders can walk around the mock-up home and in front of them find all the products and materials that they need to create sustainable homes.

Cameron Rosen, managing director of Australian Living said that sustainability should be considered throughout the process of construction.

“Future Living will bring together the latest ideas and concepts and not just have them on display, but showcase them as a reality complemented by informative workshops – a working concept of how efficient a house can be with the right products, while supporting innovative manufacturers,” he said.

Cameron added that when researching or thinking about producing a sustainable building, the big picture was important but finding the time to evaluate each individual component can be the hardest part.

“Let’s take the walls as an example. A wall isn’t just the structure. For us, a wall also includes the insulation, render, plasterboard, paints and cladding. It’s about finding and using products that work together to create a total sustainable solution for the building and you’ll find them within Future Living at DesignBUILD.”

Frank Matus, exhibition manager said:

“DesignBUILD is proud and excited to be developing Future Living by Cameron Rosen, in consultation with Australian Living, as part of our ongoing commitment to innovation, education and sustainable building practices. Future Living is an ambitious industry first, showcasing the interface between industry-leading products in a sustainable environment.

“Combine the Future Living feature with the rest of the industry leading show features and DesignBUILD 2013 marks its place on the trade and professional calendar as the place to gather information from leading industry associations, see new products and experience real life applications of new innovations,” he said.
