Australian design event Decor + Design 2015 will provide a global platform to niche Australian-based designers to showcase their talent to a wider design savvy audience through two new installations.

Being staged at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre this July, Decor + Design endeavors to celebrate emerging designers and feature leading design and interiors experts from Australia and overseas. The new installations at Decor + Design 2015 include DESIGN: Bazaar and WALL ST.

DESIGN: Bazaar is a hub of smaller studios showing original design work. Twenty-one exhibitors including Di Lana, Sala Verde, Stephanie Ng Design, Ichimu, Kuub and Ute Design are confirmed for the space, across interior products, ceramics, lighting and furniture.

WALL ST provides a platform for textile designers and surface artists looking to showcase large format visuals and original bespoke pieces. Eight exhibitors including niche brands Anna Sarasvati, Artistastyle, Jacqui Doran, Peta Collett and Winding Road Design Studio have confirmed their participation in the installation.

Decor + Design will also see the return of several exhibitors this year including Theo & Joe, specialists in interior design, architecture and retail who have selected some of their more creative and innovative products including furniture, soft furnishings, lighting and rugs.

Popular exhibitor, Armadillo & Co will also return to the design exhibition with their ethical pieces. Jodie Fried and Sally Pottharst who founded Armadillo & Co will be exhibiting their rugs crafted from sustainable natural fibres. All sales will benefit local schools in the weavers’ villages, ensuring every textile product embraces fair trade practices.

The OB Collection by Orson and Blake will include handpicked items from artists and designers from around the world. Exhibits will include cushions made from vintage Japanese Obi and a Scandinavian stainless steel bowl.

GlobeWest founded by Alan and Stephen will showcase a contemporary collection of indoor and outdoor furniture, lighting and homewares designed to create distinctly personal living spaces for style-conscious Australians.

Decor + Design 2015 exhibitors also include Art Fabrics Australia, Boyd Blue, Bisque Interiors, Café Lighting, Darcy & Duke, Bayliss, Designer Boys, Emac & Lawton, MRD Home, Villa Maison, Horgans, Cromwell, Satara, Sounds Like Home and The Wallpaper Company among many more.

The Trend Champagne Bar will provide guests with an informal workspace and meeting spot, encouraging interaction and nurturing creativity.

Decor + Design, co-located with the Australian International Furniture Fair (AIFF) will take place over four days at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 16-19 July 2015.
