A new design studio showcasing Austral Bricks’ latest products opened last week in Richmond, Victoria.

The company has had the 1,000 sqm centre designed by architects BKK and located it in Melbourne’s new design precinct for upmarket building products, as a new resource for designers, architects and builders looking for specialised materials.

The studio will showcase what Austral says is Australia’s biggest range of bricks, as well as a range of complementary building products covering pavers, stone, roofing materials, masonry, precast concrete and timber, from brands Austral Bricks, Daniel Robertson, Bowral and Nubrik.

The studio was created with innovative displays, and offers expert advice and product selection on site, - and ‘freshly brewed coffee within the studio’.

Richard West, Austral Bricks Victorian marketing manager, said specifers will also be able to see the latest colours and styles from Bristile Roofing, Austral Masonry and Auswest Timbers. Colour matching and technical specification assistance is also available.

"We have already had a great response to the studio with clients appreciating the convenience of all the product ranges in the one location and the creative manner in which they have been displayed. Quite a few architects have dropped in and the Auswest Timbers display with its flooring feature has attracted a lot of comment," said West.

Rebecca Makdissi, sales consultant at the studio was encouraging architects, designers and builders to bring their clients into the studio. "There is a meeting/function room which can be booked for client meetings. There are also aisle bench tops specifically designed to facilitate large project plans being laid out with ease.
