Australia is a great place to get an architecture degree according to the new QS ‘World University Rankings for 2015’, which listed 11 Australian universities among the Top 100 places to study architecture in the world.
Coming in at 15th on the QS-list, which sorts the top 800 universities in the world on “academic reputation, employer reputation and research impact”, and also Australia’s highest ranked university was The University of Melbourne, just edging out The University of Sydney at 17 and the University of New South Wales at 22.
The prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology (U.S.A) and The Bartlett School of Architecture (UK) were ranked number one and two respectively, placing ahead of Delft University of Technology (NED), The University of California (U.S.A) and Harvard University (U.S.A) who made the top five.
Seven Australian universities in total made the top 50 and they included the three aforementioned institutions as well RMIT University (33), The University of Queensland (37), University of Newcastle (40) and Monash University (41).
Curtin University, Griffith University, Queensland University of Technology and The University of South Australia were all ranked from 51-100.
