Several Australian architects will be joining leading environmentalists, activists, entrepreneurs and foodies for a special discussion at ‘The Palimpsest’ on the ACCA Forecourt in Melbourne later this month.

Architects Adele Winteridge, Foolscap Studio; Clare Cousins, Clare Cousins Architects; Peter Malatt, 6 Degrees; and Timothy Hill, Partners Hill, will present at Melbourne’s Off the Grid festival which is a unique solar powered celebration focussed on transitioning Melbourne to a 100 per cent renewable city, one solar project at a time.

Being organised at the Australian Centre for Contemporary Arts (ACCA) in Melbourne on 21 December – summer solstice, the longest day of the year – the festival is expected to draw over 2000 people, all sharing a common vision of transforming cities to a world based on infinite resources.

An important event at the Off the Grid festival, The Palimpsest is a platform for experts to come together and share their visions of future cities. The conversational style discussion will also reinforce Finding Infinity’s mission to connect and empower the city of Melbourne.

Off the Grid has partnered with the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects to provide CPD points for architects who attend the festival.
