Architectural Excellence contenders are among the 34 finalists announced in the inaugural Infinite Value Awards being run by the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (AIQS).

Demonstrating the diversity of the Australian construction industry, finalists include 34 individuals and businesses from both Australia and around the globe including Dubai, New Zealand, Qatar and Singapore.

Finalists were adjudicated on the ‘Infinite Value’ that their nominated project/s had achieved and were scored on the three key performance indicators of Cost, Time and Quality.

Judging panel member, award-winning architect and host of Grand Designs Australia, Peter Maddison was amazed at the diversity of the entries and the added value that members of the industry are now offering their clients.

“It became apparent when going through the entries how much the industry has evolved in recent years.  Individuals and companies are expanding skill sets to offer clients additional intelligence and are taking more ownership of projects,” he said.

Overall winners will be announced at a gala event in Melbourne of 15th November, 2012.

“We were delighted with the quality of the entries that we received for the first ever Infinite Value Awards,” says Michael Manikas, CEO of AIQS.

“It was also inspiring to see so many Australian professionals sharing best practice and adding skill and value to so many projects overseas. We look forward to honouring these and our national industry leaders at the gala event in November.”

Tickets for the Awards gala are now on sale via the AIQS website here.
