Entrants to the 2014 WA Architecture Awards will present their building or project to their respective category juries on 22 March 2014, at the Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Visual Arts, University of Western Australia (Clifton Street Campus, Nedlands).

Each entrant is allocated seven minutes to present, followed by three minutes for questions and answers, and five minutes for changeover. There will be no extensions of time.

The presentations should include a powerpoint presentation or pdf. slide show with a maximum resolution of 1024 x 768.

In 2013, the highest overall honour of the WA Architecture Awards, the George Temple Poole Award, went to Perth Arena by ARM Architecture & Cameron Chisholm Nicol – Joint Venture Architects.

With striking form and structure, the project went on to pick up the Emil Sodesten Award for Interior Architecture and Sir Zelman Cowen Award for Public Architecture at the 2013 AIA National Architecture Awards.

Providing an opportunity for architects to share and engage in each other’s work, the presentations are a key part of the judging process, and allow students and interested professions to gain insight and exposure to the work of the industry.

A timetable of the presentation will be posted to the website and made available from the WA Chapter office closer to the presentation date.

Submissions for the Awards have opened, and will close on 21 February 2014.
