Using a combination of Google Earth and an area calculator, Brick Hunter has painstakingly measured the ground size of the largest buildings around the world, coming up with a list of the top 10 largest brick buildings by ground size/coverage.
Topping the chart is a medieval castle in Europe, while London's St Pancras International made it to third place. The oldest brick building on the list is also one of the tallest structures in the ancient world.
