Cameras are rolling on the construction site of this Melbourne firm’s design.

Andrew Maynard Architects' Mount Macedon House will feature in the first series of Grand Designs Australia.

Filming began last weekend on the project, which had to go through three iterations before meeting council approval.

The design includes a secluded garden at the centre of the house and a roof that slopes down to ground level to allow natural light into the green space.
