Green Roofs for Healthy Cities (GRHC) has launched Living Architecture Academy (LAA), an online portal to green roof and wall educational content from conferences and events.

It draws information from the recent CitiesAlive, Green Roof and Wall Conference in Vancouver, BC. The LAA currently offers 24/7 access to 75 streaming audio recordings synched with presentation slides, as well as 70 papers from previous conferences for purchase and download at http://grhc.sclivelearningcenter.com.

“The Living Architecture Academy will provide unprecedented access to professionals world-wide on leading edge thinking on policy, design and research in the fast evolving field of living architecture,” said Steven Peck, president and founder of Green Roofs for Healthy Cities.

The Living Architecture Academy will feature unique recordings of courses, webinars and educational sessions – an ideal way for accredited Green Roof Professionals (GRPs) to earn continuing education credits. MP3 audio files can also be downloaded onto iPods for education on the go.

The Living Architecture Academy also offers archived versions of GRHC’s monthly Green Infrastructure Webinar Series, featuring subject matter experts from a variety of disciplines discussing topics of interest to green roof and wall enthusiasts.

Past webinars include: New Fire and Wind Uplift Guidelines for Green Roofs, Principles and Practices for Integrated Design, Principles of Integrated Water Management Systems, and a case study of the Target Center Arena in Minneapolis.
