Apartment layouts at EDO in Woolloomooloo, Sydney, comprise one-, two- and three-bedrooms. The ground level of the building contains a restaurant which opens out to an external street terrace.

INITIATIVES:

All apartments received a 4.0 to 5.0 star rating under the NatHERS rating scheme

The western elevation is designed as an adjustable environmental screen to reduce heat gain and glare

The eastern elevation is designed as a sink of cool air which is used to cross ventilate and cool the apartments. It comprises open louvers which draw in cool air and circulates it through banks of smaller louvers above the entry doors to each of the apartments

All 31 apartments have west-facing living areas with controlled solar access, daylight and heat control

An on-site water retention system has been installed to manage roof and ground water run-off

A water storage tank, filtration and pump unit in the basement car park to recycle rainwater and ground water for irrigation and toilet flushing
