Design not given enough weight in school tenders

Over 90 per cent of British architects believe that design is not given enough weight in the bidding process, under the UK’s $105-billion Building Schools of the Future (BSF) programme. Many architects complained that poorly conceived schools were given the green light based on the strength of their ICT plans for financial deals, the Building Design survey found.
