Entries have opened for the 29th annual Dulux Colour Awards, with three new categories introduced to the 2015 program, expanding the possibilities for innovative examples of application of colour.

This includes the Commercial Interior – Office Fitout & Retail and International awards.

“Every year, entrants step it up with their innovative use of paint in projects across Australia and New Zealand and this year we are opening up the pool with the introduction of the International category,” explains Dulux Colour & Communications manager, Andrea Lucena-Orr.

“We have no doubt that this year entrants will raise the bar again highlighting the importance of colour, whether it’s bold or subtle, across the nine categories.”

The 2015 program also sees a change in the entry process, with entrants no longer required to submit a board as part of their initial entry. Instead, only those who make it to the finalist stage will be required to complete a showcase board.

Architects, designers, interior designers, colour consultants and students of Architecture and Interior Design are invited to submit their entries.

All category winners will receive $1,000 in prize money, except for the Student category winner, who will take home $500 and a limited edition colour range with Dulux. The Grand Prix winner will be awarded $5,000.

Entries are open until Thursday February 12, 2015. To enter and find out more about the judging criteria, please visit http://www.dulux.com.au/colourawards.
