8 Chifley Square and the gardens of One Central Park are among the winning architecture projects from the 2014 Sydney Design Awards, which also celebrated interior and urban design among other fields.

Design studio Aspect|Oculus took home the coveted Design Champion Award along with three other firms including Sekisui House, Payce and Frost* Design.  

120 finalists in total were featured in this year’s edition of the award which included 14 projects in the architecture categories.

Turner architects, a+ design group and Rice Daubney architects were standouts in the architecture categories with multiple projects from these firms making the finalists list.

8 Chifley Square  by Mirvac Projects / Lippmann Partnership/Rogers Stirk Harbour & Partners was the winner of the Architecture - Commercial – Constructed category while the East Village at Victoria Park, designed by Turner architects took out the  Architecture - Mixed Use – Constructed.

a+ design group was particularly successful at the 20 August  awards evening, the firm's Gunyama Residence design and Neutral Bay residence were triumphant in the Architecture – Proposed and Architecture Residential - Constructed categories respectfully.

Awards were announced by design100 and Sydney Design Awards Founder & CEO Mark Bergin, at the newly created Brand X Event Space L3 Central at One Central Park, Sydney.
